JOINT MOBILISATION

Joint Mobilisation

Joint mobilisation is a manual therapy technique used by myotherapists to help alleviate stiffness within a joint thus increasing joint mobility and reducing joint pain. Joint mobilisation involves the myotherapist passively moving the joint in a way where small movements of the joints bone surfaces occur. These movements are made in certain directions at different speeds, with the goal of regaining optimal movement.

Joint mobilisation can help to loosen tight muscles and their ligaments, increase space within a joint capsule and overall improve the level of range and mobility.
