MYOTHERAPY

Myotherapy

Myotherapy is a form of physical therapy that focuses on assessment, treatment and management of musculoskeletal pain.

Myotherapists may use massage techniques along with other treatment approaches, such as dry needling, trigger point therapy, myofascial release,  cupping, joint mobilisations,  exercise prescription, pain management education and activity/ occupational/ lifestyle modifications, when necessary to best benefit you and your presenting complaint.

Myotherapists treat a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions and/or disorders, such as-

  • Neck and Shoulder pain
  • Headaches
  • Back/ Lower Back Pain
  • Sporting injuries
  • Foot and ankle tendinopathies/injuries
  • Postural related aches and pains
  • Impingement syndromes
  • Overuse injuries
  • Pre/Post Natal massage

Bear in mind, you don’t need to be in pain to benefit from Myotherapy! Treatment can focus on maintaining optimal pain-free levels that allow you to continue being physically active, aiding in relaxation and stress management and also helping to reduce the likelihood of further or future injuries.
